| Mona J is a crazy, sexy, cool type of female artist. Known for keeping it real. Raised in South side Richmond, VA as Ramona Renee Johnson. Born to be a leader and aims towards bringing the soul of music back. Mona j's music is considered different due to its crazy choice of beats, catchy hooks, hidden messages with a smooth and easy way of delivering real life stories. She has found a way to bring Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz, And reggae all into one crazy tune to rock to. My lyrical and diverse style keep you on your toes. Since age 5, Ramona (Mona J) has participated in many different events to showcase her talent. School choirs, talent showcases, etc. I have been a part of several different local music groups such as, DUC, Black Money, Charade, and many more. Her intentions was to find a group that was as serious as she. In that quest she then decided to become an independent artist. By 1997 Mona J was ready for the studio. I'm now writing my own songs and having full control over her creativity, appearance, and messages sent out through the music I make. Shout out to Kick em to the Kurb studios, who gave Mona J her first shot at recording professionally. In two years, Mona j was ready for the stage. From then on Ramona performed on many of Richmond, New York, South Carolina stages. Also recorded intro for Dj Flava on Richmonds own Power 92 Jams. Mona J now Ceo of Mona J 804 LLC, has executed placement services for Project Pat and artist Waka Flocka, Wooh da Kid, Frenchie, Capp Da Prez from Bricksquad records This company was built so that Ramona could utilize other God given talents which include offering placement, promotion, show bookings, photography, artist development, networking, and consultation. This company is a non profit organization that works soley on donations. Also designed to teach artist to invest in there dreams. Monies earned are then placed together and given back into the community, helping our youth work towards there musical dream. |
